About Me
Biography
I'm originally from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and moved to Leicester to study a BSc in Physics with Space Science and Technology. I graduated in the Summer of 2005. Whilst at University I decided to join the Fencing club after a long fascination with the sport. When I was there I began to learn to fence and also my coaching career.
After my degree I decided to complete a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) in Secondary Science; my specialism being Physics. By this time I was already an assistant coach at the University club as well as at Leicester Fencing Club. I have been fencing in Leicester ever since.
From passing the PGCE I took a job at Longslade Community College where I taught GCSE and A Level Physics, GCSE Electronics and GCSE Science. |

I am able to teach all three weapons; Foil, Epee and Sabre, however Foil and Epee are the main weapons I coach at the moment.
I am also available to coach 6-10 year olds using mini-fence. A system devised by Leon Paul which consists of foam weapons and plastic masks. Should you wish your son/daughter and their friends to experience mini-fence for a birthday party or an activity session please indicate this in your communication.
